Having identified that our local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community is a young and growing one, we have established a Koorie Family Gathering group to enhance community engagement.
Held fortnightly at the Derrimut Weelam Gathering Place in Mordialloc, the group is open to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families with babies and young children in the Cities of Bayside, Glen Eira, Kingston and Stonnington. While mainly targeting mums and bubs - toddlers, pre-school children and carers are all welcome. There is no requirement to attend every session, participants can come along as it suits them.
Culturally appropriate activites are scheduled for most sessions and we welcome feedback from group participants.
