An opportunity exists with Southern Melbourne Primary Care Partnership for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) Access Project Officer. This part-time (0.6EFT) position seeks to engage the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to gain greater awareness of and access to health and welfare services available in the area.

The ATSI Access Project Officer  will implement strategies to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to access health and welfare services within the Urban South area, including both Indigenous and mainstream agencies.  The position objective is to improve service delivery to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people by identifying their needs; raising community and service provider awareness of unmet needs; providing training and information with regard to identified needs; and assisting in the planning, co-ordination and development of services to address unmet needs.
